What is Medication Synchronization?

Medication Synchronization is a process that Reliable Rx uses to align all your medications to fill and deliver on the same day. Some medications cannot be synchronized due to state and federal regulations. These medications include narcotic controlled substances otherwise known as C2s. However, Reliable Rx will still process and deliver those medications when due regardless of the time of month.

What are cycle fill and non-cycle fill medications?

Cycle Fill medications are used on a daily/monthly basis. These are filled through medication synchronization and delivered before the 1st of every month. This process gives nurses and staff time to check-in, organize, and compare medications to MAR records for accuracy.

Non-cycle Fill Medications are all PRN (as needed) and any medications not needed on a daily/monthly basis. These medications will be ordered by staff as needed to prevent overstock issues and confusion.

How does Reliable Rx bill for OTC Medications?

Reliable Rx can bill for eligible OTC medications with a valid prescription from a prescriber through covered third parties (insurance). This will reduce the out-of-pocket costs to you and your caregiver.

What types of Compliance Packaging does Reliable Rx provide?

Blister Card: Your medications will come in cards that hold a 31 day supply. Each medication will be packaged individually in these cards per directions for easy dosing and tracking for staff and nurses to administer.

Workshop Packaging: if you are needing your medications during school or day program hours, we will split these doses into their own separate packaging to be kept at that location every month. You will not have to worry about forgetting to bring medication with you. If you are planning a vacation or going to a special event, let us know beforehand, and we can have your medications packaged separately for those specific days.

7-Day Planners: This is a multi-dose packaging system that allows for morning, noon, evening, and bedtime dosing. This is great for individuals that are self-medicating, have an active lifestyle, and few medication changes. We still keep your medications on Cycle-Fill when you choose this packaging, and you will receive them before the 1st of every month. Control medications are packaged separately in your choice of blister cards or vials for monitoring purposes.

Strip Packaging: If your medications are consistent from month to month, we can provide convenient strip packaging. With strip packaging, we will group all the medications you take at a specific time of the day together so you won’t have to worry about pill boxes ever again!

Does Reliable Rx contact my doctor for refills?

Yes. Reliable Rx will contact all prescribers for needed refills a month in advance. If your prescriber does not allow pharmacies to contact them for refills, we will work closely with your medical coordinator to contact the doctor on your behalf.

How do I become a patient of Reliable Rx?

All you have to do is fill out an Intake Form and we will take care of the rest. If we are missing any required information, we will reach out to you.

Does Reliable Rx provide training material?

Yes. Reliable Rx will provide candy-filled blister cards and 7-Day Planners for training of nurses and staff. For documentation purposes, we provide Physician Orders and MARs. Contact us to let us know what you need.
